Privacy policy
Last updated 13 September 2026.
This is a short policy because this is a small website. We collect as little as possible.
What this site collects
This website has no analytics and no tracking cookies on its main pages. Simply reading them sends us nothing about you. The only information we receive is what you type into a form and send us on purpose.
Google Ads
We advertise on Google Search. The pages those ads link to (the pages under /checkup/, and their thank-you page) load a Google Ads tag. It lets Google tell us how many people who clicked an ad went on to contact us, so we can stop paying for ads that do not work. To do that, Google may set a cookie and receive information such as the ad click, the page address and your browser details. If you arrived from an ad, the form on those pages also passes along the ad's click ID. That is a random code, not your name. Google handles this under its own privacy policy, and you can limit personalized ads at myadcenter.google.com. No other page on this site loads the tag.
When you get in touch
There are a few ways to reach us from this site.
- The consultation forms. They ask for your name, email address, some details about your business, and how we can help. The consultation form also asks for a phone number. We use that to reply to you and to work out what you need. When you send a form, it also passes along the website that linked you here (for example, Google) and the first page you opened on this site, so we know which ways of finding us actually work. Nothing is sent unless you submit the form. Submissions are received and stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, and we are emailed a copy. We keep them while we are talking, and delete them once it is clear we will not be working together.
- Phone. You can call us on (310) 910-1649. This website does not record or track calls.
- Email. If you email jack@larchmontbookkeeping.com, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
What we do with it
We use what you send us to answer you and, if we work together, to do the bookkeeping. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list.
Client records
If you become a client, we handle your financial records under our engagement letter. We share them only with people you tell us to share them with, such as your CPA, and only as long as we need to for the work and for the records we are required to keep.
Other companies involved
Running the business means a few other companies touch information you send: our email provider, Netlify which hosts this website and receives form submissions, Google for the ads described above, and QuickBooks Online for the bookkeeping itself. Each has its own privacy policy.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email jack@larchmontbookkeeping.com and we will take care of it. Some financial records we are required to keep for a set period, and we will tell you if that applies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
Questions
